The vast majority of organic peroxide is colorless to pale yellow liquid, or a white powder state to the crystalline state of the solid. These free radicals can be added to the unsaturated vinyl monomers such as: styrene, vinyl chloride and methyl acrylic acid methyl ester induced polymerization. Certain radicals also attack the polymer such as PE to generate free radicals in the chain. When two such polymers are combined together, they form a crosslinked structure.
